Located on Ovens Street the Wangaratta Exhibitions gallery was originally the town’s Presbyterian Church and dates back to 1899. It was the second Presbyterian Church to be built in Wangaratta.
Upon the merger of the Methodist and Presbyterian Churches into the Uniting Church the building was no longer required. During the mid 1980’s it was acquired by the city council and has since been converted into a community gallery where regular exhibitions are held.
The façade of the building is a classic example of Neo-Romanesque architecture which has been well preserved, along with most of the original building.
